Nissan Canada becomes official sponsor of Calgary Flames hockey team

The Calgary Flames will soon have a brand new ride around the Saddledome, as the team has a new category-exclusive sponsorship from Nissan Canada. The four-year deal includes a 2023 Nissan Frontier to take players and management to community events, as well as to move hockey equipment around the stadium. Fans can look for the team truck at events like food drives, parades, hospital visits, minor league hockey events, and Flames Foundation fundraisers.

“A life-long hockey fan myself, I couldn’t be more excited about the partnership between these two organizations”, said Steve Milette, President of Nissan Canada. “The Frontier has the rugged durability to take on plenty of action with relentless power on demand, which fits perfectly with what the team will accomplish. This partnership adds to our thrill roster, as Nissan Canada is also the official partner of the Winnipeg Jets.”

The 2023 Frontier is a mid-size truck, and “delivering the power, capability, utility, manoeuvrability and technology that drivers expect,” says the Nissan press release. Equipped with a rugged, modern exterior, utility-focused interior and the latest technologies, the Nissan Frontier is built for adventures.

“We’re thrilled to partner with Nissan Canada as the official automotive sponsor of the Calgary Flames”, said John Bean, President & CEO. “We look forward to using the Flames Frontier Truck for our community events, and to showcase this exciting partnership on and off the ice with our passionate fans this season.”

The partnership will extend onto the ice, with Nissan Canada’s logo being featured on the ice surface and on ice-level rinkboards, along with newly launched digitally-enhanced dashboards (DED), digital media content programs and fan excitement features.
