Kia Canada redesigns dealerships with sleek Canadian materials

The ‘Kia Signature Image Program’ renovations are underway at all 197 dealerships across the country. This rebranding initiative started in 2021 with the corporate identity redesign, and is now making its way into the dealerships. Supporting local economies whenever possible, Kia will also source Canadian materials and products for the renovations.

This new program provides dealerships with a consistent brand touchpoint, “reflecting the evolution of the Kia brand from a traditional vehicle manufacturer to a sustainable mobility solutions provider.”

“​​The finishes chosen are sourced locally supporting the Canadian economy and contribute to minimizing the carbon footprint,” said Robert Marner, Director, Customer Experience, Kia Canada, to Canadian auto dealer. “The palette is timeless with a focus on warm finishes in the customer area and cool within the showroom space. Additionally, dealers have the option to use Biophila; with green walls, planters, plants, to create a connection to the outdoor environment while purifying the indoor air quality.”

To date, over 40 per cent of dealerships have started the process of modernizing, with the first 14 locations slated for completion before the end of 2022.

The goal is to “create an environment for customers that embodies Kia’s innovative and enhanced product offerings.” Updates to facilities are intended to reflect the brand’s new design philosophy, ‘Opposites United,’ which is inspired by the contrasts found in nature and humanity, and will most prominently be seen in the showroom and customer areas. “Cool, metallic materials will be incorporated in the showroom, while warm, cozy, inviting materials will be featured in customer areas,” said Marner.

“The new design of Kia dealerships nationwide is timeless and modern, giving customers a sense of our equally modern and innovative vehicles,” said Marner. “While some dealerships require full construction and others renovations, the enthusiasm we’ve seen across the network at such an early stage is incredible. The Kia Signature Image Program will help solidify the new Kia for customers.”
